Workshop for Music Business: Managing people, environments and expectations

  • The Gallery 5 Tileyard Studios England (map)

Working in a business where managing others expectations, capabilities and under time constraints to deliver to a time frame can be difficult and often very stressful. Having a clear dialogue and shared vision with your clients is essential to move towards success and avoid some of the symptoms experienced on both sides when communication, goals and values may be slightly conflicting in a relationship / people focussed industry and when personal and business life lines may be crossed. This workshop is ideal for anyone wishing to promote, manage and support creatives, be it writers / artists / producers / DJ's, to ensure that your hard work and precious time works well for you to be your very best to promote your clients and their talent and share the success mutually in a happy and healthy environment.

This is the third workshop of a series of four, led by Your Green Room; a collective of lifestyle specialists who are determined to change the current business culture within the creative industries in the UK, to benefit creativity and your personal happiness and success.

Your Green Room will be partnering with Mind and MQ this year, to encourage better mental health and a healthier working culture in the arts.

This talk will be led by Clare Scivier, who said “working for so many years with writers, producers and artists you soon become aware of recurring hurdles and issues they face. We have devised simple and effective exercises and applied techniques from modeling the most productive and successful writers. By identifying ways that work for them - stimulating and raising awareness of all sensory systems – we can increase performance and output in others who might be temporarily struggling. Replicating initial success is possible by raising awareness and enriching the relationship with mind and body during times of most creative thoughts and patterns of belief”.
